blackparkas
Have found a -73 Telecasterbass wich is modded with P-pup on Ebay and wonder if anyone possibly have any feedback on the seller. The bass is at Spanish Guitar Centre in London if I´m informed correctly wich seems to have some kind of connection with andysguitarnet, whatever that might be. Does anybody know if it´s somewhat safe to buy and/or is there any rumours around the shop/seller?
skankdelvar
I am unsure whether there is any connection between Andysguitarnet and Andy's Guitars, the now-defunct retailer previously occupying premises on Denmark St. The latter has incurred some particularly pungent criticism from several members here, relating to allegedly questionable business practices. blackparkas
Hm... That sounds a bit intimidating i must say... Seems like a bit to big coincidence with the names there... Anyone else? The bass seems at a glance for real, but one never knows untill you´ve tested it, and sometimes yo don´t even know after testing...
Mykesbass
Spanish Guitar Center used to be in the side street opposite Selfridges - amazing specialist store, had everything from Flamenco dresses and shoes (not my size I'm afraid) and some really top end guitars - did a photo shoot there some years ago for a CD cover. As far as I know, Andysguitarnet is run by what used to be Andys in Denmark St - those of that slightly iffy reputation, but the website is some sort of third party deal so they are acting as a broker. If you can, contact the Spanish Guitar Centre direct.

I have the court papers from when he stole my Fender Bassman 135 head - sold it and didn't give me the money - but he managed to claim bankruptcy while still keeping hold of his Rolls Royce. (I have the legal papers from this too) IMO he is scum of the most vile order and should be avoided at all costs regardless of where he is know working. The above is my opinion alone backed up by the legal documents I have which are a matter of public record. I am willing to share these records. Opinion in this post is not necessarily that of Basschat, it's owners or users. Edited March 4, 2010 by MacDaddy
