Dirtydave77
Good evening one and all Hope everyone is doing well.. Never really know what to say on these sort of things.. But here goes. My name is David and I have been trying to play the bass/guitar for about 16 years now. Mostly playing along with cd's in the bedroom, or trying to make some sort of noise with mates. Still haven't really got a clue what to do with it to be honest. So I think it's about time I got myself some lessons! Are there any teachers in the west London area that would show me what to do with a 5 string? Would be up for learning some blues, rock, jazz and METAL!!! Nothing too technical to start with. But just enough to point me in the right direction. Well here's what I have so far: Washburn BB5 (purchased last weekend!) Epiphone Les Paul special And my mates 10w practice amp Well there you go.. SO any tips, hints, tabs or just a chat. Bring it on Peace David

Marvin
Welcome. Theory and technique forum may be a good place to look to tide you over until you find a teacher. It's better than a book as you can ask questions. Obviously

tarcher
Hello and welcome David. I was down in Hanwell today at a rather good guitar shop tucked away in the back streets. I'm just up the road in South Harrow where we have a couple of locals doing open mic nights. I can put you on to an excellent teacher up in Carpenders Park if your interested. Pm for a phone number if you want more info. Enjoy the site
