Any Bass-detectives around here?

A friend of mine bought it on Ebay from a guy in Ireland and have absolutely no clue on what it is.
The seller didn´t know either.

Neck plate says "KGH"

Otherwise I don´t think there are any brands or names on it.

Maybe someone here could help us identify it?

It sure looks like a Jaydee, Especially with the XLR out. but i'd have thought it would have said so on the headstock unless its had some major surgery.

Deffo not an Alembic, they don't make bolt on necks! Either a piece of 80's jap exotica or a small time luthier paying tribute to san-francisco's finest.
I remember a luthier called KGB but it's not one of them.

There was one of these on ebay almost 2 yrs ago i posted a link to it as it was described as !mark kings jaydee bass iirc!
Here's the topic but no pics,headstock was definitely the same though.
