blackparkas
A friend of mine bought it on Ebay from a guy in Ireland and have absolutely no clue on what it is. The seller didn´t know either. Neck plate says "KGH" Otherwise I don´t think there are any brands or names on it. Maybe someone here could help us identify it? Musicman69
Its an Alembic. Worth a few quid that.
MythSte
It sure looks like a Jaydee, Especially with the XLR out. but i'd have thought it would have said so on the headstock unless its had some major surgery.
Musicman69
Oh.. Ill have to stand corrected so!! EDIT.. ^^^ this is closer to the mark. I jumped in there way too fast! Edited March 4, 2010 by Musicman69
Pete Academy
What's the headstock look like? Looks like an Alembic rip-off by some obscure Jap company.

Bassman68
Deffo not an Alembic, they don't make bolt on necks! Either a piece of 80's jap exotica or a small time luthier paying tribute to san-francisco's finest. I remember a luthier called KGB but it's not one of them. Pete Academy
Jap exotica...I'm convinced.
Clarky
Perhaps KGH are the initials of the owner. In which case it can mean only one thing: Edited March 4, 2010 by Clarky

knedy
Hiya! I'm the current owner of the bass. I took the neck of it today and saw a date and a signature. And it do look like Melvyn Hiscocks signature right? Kiwi
Melvyn Hiscocks wrote a book on guitar making. He also makes his own guitars, if you're on Facebook you can hit him up here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Melvyn-Hisco...rs/198415699967 No way of knowing if that signature is his or not but if you send him a link to this page, he might be able to help perhaps?
