Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs plays one of these in his parallel band "Dead Weather".

Cat Burrito Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I didn't know these were 34" scale. I nearly bought one a couple of months ago but could only find short scale Gretsch basses. Sadly I no longer have the funds.
jsixties Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Yes, it's a normal scale bass mate. As user of many hollowbody short scale basses in the past I think there's a HUGE difference in terms of tone, it's deeper and fuller in the 34''.
