s1ater Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 (edited) Hi, Up for sale is my marshall vba400 400w all valve head. It's got a few tears in the tolex, but these things are built like tanks so its purely cosmetic. The only reasons i'm selling it are that I simply dont need the power for the gigs im doing, coupled with the fact I cant fit it in the car with all the drummers stuff. I'm looking for about [s]£700[/s] £650 for it, but im open to sensible trades for a lighter more compact rig. eg a markbass or genz benz Im throwing in the cab seeing as i dont need it, its an mbc410, Its got a corner missing and does rattle a bit. I think its just not cut out for the sheer power of this amp. If someone wants the cab on its own Id be happy to let it go for £140 Right Its just had a service and lots of new valves The increase in price is just to help cover some of the money spent. If anyone thinks this is unreasonable please tell me and im sure we can work something out. Thanks for looking, any questions just ask Cheers Sean Edited October 3, 2010 by s1ater
basshead56 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) These are fantstic amps. I have one and am in love with it. they really are SVT killers! What age is this amp? the front panel looks a tad different to mine. Edited March 11, 2010 by basshead56
thumperbob 2002 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Graet amp- loads of power and lovely tone- once you know the amp the EQ is quite versatile but the core tone is lovely. Only reason I got rid of mine was that it was a little heavy for me as I`m getting on a bit! Good price too- they are £1200 now Bob
alexisonfire Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Would you swop the cab for an epi t bird in perfect condition?

Ian Savage Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Don't suppose a Laney B1 head would tickle your fancy for part-ex would it? It's certainly lighter and more compact than the Marshall, not MarkBass-light though...
s1ater Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 Last bump before I'm putting it on ebay tomorrow
