If you only play fingerstyle this won't be a problem (provided you use the floating thumb as there's nowhere comfy to rest it against), but if'n you're inclined towards a pick it can be rather uncomfortable as I found the top edge dug into my forearm something rotten. YMMV natch. The string spacing is [i]very[/i] tight, almost as though it's a 4-string neck with an extra string shoehorned in. OK... 3 points... These usually have a 3rd Fret Scarf joint too. The example I had (passive 2 x J, VVT) had a lovely growly tone, I just couldn't get on with the ergonomics. Pete. Quote
