Rammsteinbrit
Have a Marshall Amp, which is in its own enclosure. Have a Rack, have a rack tuner, wanted to use them all together, as ya would... HOWEVER, taken the amp out of the enclosure and its NOT got the little wings on the side of the amp to screw into the sides... My question: is there anything i can buy or make to make this a rack mountable amp? Cheers, Darbs.
ThomBassmonkey
You can get rack trays (something like http://www.dv247.com/microphones/shure-urt-rack-tray--17100 ) but you'd need to fix it securely and even then I don't know if it'd be strong enough (I wouldn't like to bet my amp head on it). You could always build a new enclosure.
BluRay
You can get live-in flight cases with rack spaces added... http://shop.castlecases.co.uk/product_info...products_id=572 Here's how my Ashdown head turned out... (I just sent measurements, and specified amount of rack space) The advantage is that it can stay in its original housing and you can slide it out in one piece whenever you need to, and you get to have everything stored in one unit. The disadvantage is that you end up with quite a heavy unit. In hindsight I might have asked for less padding / smaller box. Looks good tho imo Edited March 6, 2010 by BluRay
JMT3781
how long is the amp? you might get lucky and find some rack ears that would go on it and then go in a rack... but you might end up on a wild goose chase. A rack tray is a good option, as thombassmonkey said might not be strong enough, however you can get some that screw into the rack front a back
andyonbass
You can get rack ears from Here which you may be able to attach to the amp if its a standard 19" width. May involve a bit of careful drilling though
