BassJase Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) I have Miles Davis "Doo-Bop", Bill Evans Trio "Portrait In Jazz" and Chick Corea & Friedrich Gulda's "The Meeting" if any of those take your fancy? (Although the Chick Corea one is actually two live pianists so no bass at all, sorry, my bad!) Also have Richard Bona's "Tiki", didn't want to part with that but I really want your Best of Chic, Jaco and best of Marcus Miller CDs!! Let me know your thoughts dude.. (Oh, and I've also got the Beatles "Love" box set thing with cd and dvd on it, you can't get much better than Macca!) Edited March 6, 2010 by BassJase
kets Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hi Lee, I'd like your Stuart Hamm-Kings of Sleep, Marcus Miller-Power and Stanley Clarke-Schooldays. To trade I have: Mick Karn-Bestial Cluster Jaco Pastorius-Honestly Jaco Pastorius-Word of Mouth Uzeb-Live in Europe (Alain Caron) Uzeb-entre ciel et terre (Alain Caron) Rippington's-Kiliminjaro (Jimmy Johnson & Jimmy Haslip) Spyro Gyra-Breakout (Kim Stone) Charlie Hunter Trio-bing, bing, bing (Hunter play's bass & guitar together on his 8 string!) Little Axe-The wolf that house built (Doug Wimbish) David Sanborn-A Change of Heart (Marcus Miller) Any of these of interest? If not, I'll buy the Stu Hamm-Kings of sleep. Kets
lscolman Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 (edited) Hi BassJase, Interested in the Richard Bona CD. Which CD would you like to trade for that? Hi Kets, Interested in these Little Axe-The wolf that house built (Doug Wimbish) David Sanborn-A Change of Heart (Marcus Miller) Do you want to propose a swap for those? but would appreciate some other info about the other titles? Style of bass etc? Cheers, Lee Edited March 8, 2010 by lscolman
kets Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Hi Lee, I'd like to propose a swap for your Marcus Miller-Power and Stu Hamm-Kings of Sleep CD's meantime. As for further info on the others: Mick Karn-Bestial Cluster. Superb fretless playing, just not my bag musically. Jaco Pastorius-Honestly. Jaco on his own playing some hendrix, some funk etc, using a tape loop I think to build up other parts on top. Jaco Pastorius-Word of Mouth. Jaco's big band, Chromatic fantasy etc Uzeb-Live in Europe (Alain Caron). Awesome fretless playing, with some slap. Jazzy. Uzeb-entre ciel et terre (Alain Caron). Awesome fretless playing, with some slap. Jazzy. Rippington's-Kiliminjaro (Jimmy Johnson & Jimmy Haslip). Slick Jazz. Good bass stuff. Spyro Gyra-Breakout (Kim Stone). Slick Jazz, basswise not much to write home about. Charlie Hunter Trio-bing, bing, bing (Hunter play's bass & guitar together on his 8 string!) A bit of a mix, including an interesting take on Nirvana's Come as you are. Not great descriptions I'm afraid, take my word for it though, none of its mainstream! I'd probably recommend the Mick Karn one though. He is a master, I just prefer his playing with Japan. Kets
lscolman Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 Hi Kets, I'm happy to accept Little Axe-The wolf that house built (Doug Wimbish) David Sanborn-A Change of Heart (Marcus Miller) for Marcus Miller-Power Stu Hamm-Kings of Sleep I'll PM you. Cheers, LEe
