JordanRLS
I've just realised how truly awful laptop speakers are for hearing a bass guitar

budget bassist
I don't even need to press play to know that i'm instantly going to dislike that video. Bass solo my arse.
bartelby
I'm not clicking play! Are there any drills involved? Edited March 7, 2010 by bartelby
Cat Burrito
I'm never really sure what I'm supposed to do whilst such musical capery goes on! Am I expected to dance?
Buzz
In a twist from the usual fair, I quite liked that.
karlfer
I haven't listened. I'm p****d off enough at having to learn Daddy, brother, lover, mother, cover, bugger, whatever it's called.
Oscar South
Two incredible and venerable musicians playing music that they love? That video is immense, I'm getting major doses of bass player envy from this thread.

That performance is literally one of the s*****t things I've ever seen.

ThomBassmonkey
Mr Big is the only band of that style I can stomach. Gilbert has a touch of taste instead of the bland widdlefest some others call music.
SteveO
Its just a little bit of ostentatious posing that the merkins seem to appreciate. I have to admit to never being a fan of either of these guys, but would have thought that they could have come up with something a bit more exciting than just playing the same notes in unison - apart from the few widdly bits that billy cant keep up with. bartelby
Just managed 47 seconds an got bored! I'm a bit of a Sheehan fan, I love Niacin, the first DLR album was great, as was the first Mr Big album. But that video is just clichéd and dull. I'm wondering if Paul Gilbert is listening to something interesting on those big headphones... MIJ-VI
IMO they're both excellent musicians who compose and play well together.
whimsy23
As nice as it is, for me, that is some guy playing guitar on a bass, not playing bass.

Rosh
This is the kind of thing I think is wrong with the world, it's the "up-yer-own-arse-ness" of the whole thing! It's not even that great! It's hardly this kind of virtuosity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUcdosnuxGs
