BarnacleBob
Aren't these new in the £5k - £8K bracket? Bb
molan
Aren't these new in the £5k - £8K bracket? Bb
They aren't a 'standard' build as far as I know so difficult to price - certainly not listed on the Alembic web site price list or in the custom build section. BarnacleBob
BassCentral have several Spyder versions and the list is $15000 retaill $9999! And this one doesn't have the horrible 'lets take the guitarists eye out' V shaped pointy headstock! I like this a lot as I love 'wonky' shaped basses - explorer, t-birds, RDs all Gibsons funnily enough! BB
Rich
I'm not generally all that wild about Bics, but I'd definitely give that one house space! Nice.
molan
I think it might actually be called an 'Exploiter' rather than an 'Explorer' I see the price has jumped £200 since I mentioned it on BC, lol.
molan
Done some checking on this and am pretty sure it's a Spoiler with an Exploiter body shape. I reckon the current bid price (£1,220) is Ok but I wouldn't spend a lot more on a Spolier really. Very approx valuation becuase they are so rare but I'd usually reckon a Spolier would be less than half the value of a full on Exploiter.
