They aren't a 'standard' build as far as I know so difficult to price - certainly not listed on the Alembic web site price list or in the custom build section.

BassCentral have several Spyder versions and the list is $15000 retaill $9999!
And this one doesn't have the horrible 'lets take the guitarists eye out' V shaped pointy headstock!

I like this a lot as I love 'wonky' shaped basses - explorer, t-birds, RDs all Gibsons funnily enough!

I think it might actually be called an 'Exploiter' rather than an 'Explorer'

I see the price has jumped £200 since I mentioned it on BC, lol.

Done some checking on this and am pretty sure it's a Spoiler with an Exploiter body shape.

I reckon the current bid price (£1,220) is Ok but I wouldn't spend a lot more on a Spolier really. Very approx valuation becuase they are so rare but I'd usually reckon a Spolier would be less than half the value of a full on Exploiter.
