GazWills Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 OK, firstly, apologies for another 'i have one space left on my board' thread! Thing is though, i have one space left on my board!! I was sure i wanted a 2-stage phaser, but after borrowing a phase 45, it's not for me. I don't want a modulation pedal of any kind (so chorus and flangers out too), don't need a compressor and am happy with the dirt options I have. Basically, if anyone can suggest something that would fit in the MXR-sized space on my board, I'd be grateful, as i'm running out of ideas!!! cheers ears Quote

Silent Fly Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 You can add more than 1 pedal... Micro-EQ Micro-Fuzz ... Quote

(and have an EQ/preamp on the board already). nice looking pedals though... Quote
nick Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 How about an octaver of some sort, or maybe an envelope/low pass filter? Quote

phil.i.stein Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) if you don't want a pedal, get one of these then... Mastotron?
beer aside i was thinking about a trem, but not sure if i'll really use it! the mastotron does look ace - and is tempting... already have 2 other fuzz pedals not even on the board though! Quote
cm261 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Hmm, am running low on suggestions at the moment. Blender? Here's something very unhelpful though - if you mounted the fuel tank on the bottom of the board you could get another pedal on the board as well, maybe even 3 more in total! Although, on second glance I cannot actually tell if there is any/enough space under the board to do this... Quote
deej Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Delay? Maybe some kind of boost? That space needs to be filled. Who cares if you dont use it, as long as it look good. Quote
absolutely - that's the whole point of a pedal board! i've actually re-jigged it, and squeezed everything together to (just about) give me enough space for a bass rc20xl loop thing - always fancied a looper (and not enough space for a headrush!!) quest over. Quote
GazWills Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 in fact, probably enough space for a looper and one of those very pretty looking new little malekko pedals. which colour to get?!!!!! Quote
joegarcia Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Try not to keep the looper in your chain the whole time unless you're using it loads in a set as they mess with your tone big time. Maybe get a bypass loop for it if possible. Quote
joegarcia Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Or, come round and try this puppy out: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80259 Quote

Still haven't gotten hold of my mate who's borrowing my Headrush, will give you/Si a shout if she doesn't want it. Reckon you should give the Black Cat a go too, you may have lots of drive but the octave sound is pretty different and really cool. You're welcome to borrow it for a practice or something as it's just sat here not being used. Quote
