Wil Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Which way do you position the cab for best results? Angled speaker pointing at the floor, your ears, or the cab horizontal? Does it even matter? Yours, Interested of Bristol. Quote
thisnameistaken Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 (edited) I always have mine on its side with the angled speaker pointing up. I think it does help me to hear the note - I play with quite a lot of bottom end. Of course what you really want is two of them, with one of them upside-down, so you'd be pointing speakers in three directions. Edited March 10, 2010 by thisnameistaken Quote
Protium Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I can't fit my amp on the cab if it's stood sideways, though it's loud either way Quote
stinson Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Up usually but doesnt make a massive amount of difference IMO. Great cabs. Quote
Wil Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 So far I've been using mine pointed up too, just wondered if maybe pointing down was the ideal for bass response or some such gubbins. I'm happy with it as it is, of course, it sounds great! Quote
thumperbob 2002 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I have two- a 1212 and a 1515 though I dont use them both for every gig. As long as you place them as far back as you can I dont see it really makes any difference. Great cabs with a surprising amount of bottom end- fantastic definition too. Quote
JPJ Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I use my 21012 the way Jorge intended, ie with the port at the side. Seems to work for me and get a lot of compliments about my sound. Quote
ezbass Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I have my 1212L with the angled speaker lowest as this gives me the best onstage sound. I've checked all three orientations FOH and it sounds the same in each position. Quote
