Sorry guys im not interested in a long scale bass, in fact I would keep this one , but my old hands can only manage short scale now ( I have 2 Mustangs ) and I dont get on with fretless.

Regards --- Will.
How about an as new barely used 32" Hofner contemporary series violin bass in black with white edging?
Hi OutToPlayJazz

Thanks for the offer, but I had a bad experience back in the late 60s with a Hofner "Fiddle Bass " neck breakage at a gig and swore I would never get another one.

Regards --- Will.

Not especially interested in the bass (cracker though it is), but if you’re into custom building, I have the neck and hardware off a 1968 Kalamazoo (Gibson’s budget brand at the time, but US-made), basically a copy of a Fender Mustang, with short-scale Fender style neck in maple/rosewood, and the hardware straight off a Gibson EB-3. In good nick, but minus big neck pick-up (stuck on a Jazz bass in the early ‘80’s!). Only mention it as short-scale necks are hard to come by, and this has a bit of history and mojo at least.

Hi Shaggy

Im not into building another bass but I remember the Kalamazoo, If I remember correctly it had a SG style body and an unusual neck similar to a telecaster.
Incidently I still have a Gibson "Mudbucker" big humbucking pickup I removed from my EB2 back in the 70s (when I replaced it with a DiMarzio Model 1 )kicking about somewhere, might be worthwhile digging it out and putting on Ebay.

Regards -- Will.
