played one briefly this afternoon and it felt very nice - didn't have time to plug it in to see what it sounded like, but if I needed an acoustic bass I'd probably grab one (as it is I might still do something silly :) )

Definitely one to consider.
I was invited to an acoustic jam session recently and that sort of thing would fit the bill and come in handy for other things.

EDIT: Just checked with Mrs M. Apparently I won't be getting one.

That's what i'm not liking about it. It kind of just looks like they got a jazz bass neck and shoved it on an acoustic body. If i wanted an acoustic bass to mess around on i'd probably get a harley benton bass.



edit: oh you did say it had a jazz bass neck. Sorry.

The best ABG I have ever played by a mile was the Washburn AB34. Great upper fret access, lovely fast neck, really comfortable. Discontinued. Damn. :)
