RussFM
Interesting concept... http://www.ibanez.co.jp/eu/news/f_products...se2/Ashula.html Would you fretless/fretted players have a use for something like this, over having both basses at the gig? BigRedX
As someone who plays both frettted and fretless it's an interesting idea, but not for me. Firstly I find the average six string neck one string too wide, secondly when I play fretless I like to use all the strings fretless which means a minimum of 4 fretless strings, and my fretted bass playing nearly always uses 5 strings which takes the neck up to a nine string... Finally for fretless I tend to favour the neck pickup for my tone, so on this the pickup is in totally the wrong position. However I'm sure there will be someone who finds that this exactly what they want. It isn't me though.
Paul_C
one of the first jobs I ever did : http://www.arrowheadguitars.co.uk/bass%20gallery.html
pantherairsoft
I'm really considering one of these. They are very well priced and while I consider myself a 6 string bass player, it would be nice to have an excuse to play 4 string tuning with a little twist. Its 34", and I have got very used to playing 35"ers, but if I get my mind set into thinking its not 'really' a 6 string I think I can forgive it the extra 1"

XB26354
Tried one. Crap I'm afraid. All the bulk of a normal 6-string without any of the benefits. Finish looks horrible up close too.

Comes with a money back garuntee thankfully in case I agree. Edit - Arrived and I telly like it. Sounds like a monster.
