TGEvans Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Will be trying out for a new band this week. They are awesome! Really want it to work out. They will be sending me their stuff and told me to use guitar pro. Can someone please explain this to me as I have never heard of it. Im guessing its a tabbing program by the looks of it! Any help would be great though. Thanks in advance, Tim. Quote
velvetkevorkian Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 It's basically a tablature/notation program (mainly for guitars) which lets you play back the tracks using crappy MIDI sounds. There are also freeware programs which read GP files, such as TuxGuitar if you don't want to pay for Guitar Pro. Quote

Dood Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 and Guitar Pro is full of glitches - like the odd memory violation in the middle of trying to save! *crash!!!* - It is one of the better notation programs for guitar and bass though! Quote
TGEvans Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 Cheers guys. Meeting up with their drummer this week to go over their stuff. This program looks like it could be used to good effect though. Its pretty funny, the stuff they sent me on this guitar pro business sounds like old Sega sound samples. Quote
velvetkevorkian Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I can't stand it personally, but YMMV! Quote
