I tried the bass with no pedal and it fine. it says on it 9VAC-50/60HZ 1.3A If i need a special plug anyi deas where i can get one from? oris this pedal broken. thanks very much in advance
cheddatom
Are you sure it says 9v? 'Cos I thought they were all 12v.
Dread Bass
on mine it def says 9VAC looking at the website it is a different plug from what usually comes with a digitech pedal
cheddatom
Did you remember to set your psu to AC not DC? My guitarist has a WH4 on a non-standard supply.
Kev
9v ac adapter will work, 750ma or over i think it is nothing else
Dread Bass
aha the plug i am using is only 300mA that might explain it im glad i was getting worried thanks guys
Higgie
Kev is partially right. You need an adaptor that is 9V AC, but it should, for best results, be over 1A or 1000mA in current. The original WH-1 draws around 750mA, but the re-issue is even more power hungry!
Dread Bass
thanks higgie i will get on that tomorrow
Kev
i think the adapter supplied with the reissue whammy is 900ma, but ye a 750 would run it fine

Dread Bass
it says on the side of the pedal 1.3Aso its a power hungry little thing. no luck finding a replacement in my local shops but i emailed maplin to see what they recommend
Musky
Like Higgie says, the AC bit is important - most power adapters are DC. Maplins do a suitable adapter, as does a guy on ebay. Give me shout if you can't find him, as I've added him to my favourite sellers list.
tauzero
I had to get a Maplin replacement for my BP-200 which is also AC but can't remember whether it's 12V or 9V. It was one of these: Maplin AC/AC power supplies which are pretty reasonably priced.
