Most amps have a switching jack for the IN which shorts the signal to ground to stop hum when there is not a guitar or bass plugged in. The jack could be broken but this is simple to fix.

The sub harmonics may be a separate problem.

There's a recurring and well known fault with the power transformer on these heads - maybe it's grumbling?

As for the Superfly, same quality control problems on one of the power boards. Several people on here have had problems, (me included)

No loss on the sub-harmonics, but not sure about that humming problem.

I can get mine to hum if I turn input/volume to max (with nothing plugged in), but that's just background interference amplified.
