girya32
The photos are as bad as the spelling, is it real ? OldGit
Looks like a 62 RI to me... I'd want a pic of the serial number before taking it further. Edited March 15, 2010 by OldGit
OldGit
Not a 62. There's no rear of headstock strap peg. The s/n ties in with the story as it's a 96. She/He is open to offers before relisting. use Ebay Pm system and see... I'd suggest this is well worth £300 but missed out this time because she can't spell Jazz. Probably a very good time to grab it for £275 if you make an offer now.
Annoying Twit
Here's another "Jass Bass". jezzaboy
That`s the wrong shape and style of logo for a 74. Og, I think you are right in saying it could be a 62 re-issue. They used that type of logo in 62 according to The Fender bass book. After 64, the "custom offset body" moved to the end of the head. Having said that, the tunning keys are the wrong style if it`s a 62. Mabye I am just being pedantic. If it`s a real Fender re-issue, we`ve missed a bargin. Still, I would know how to spell the name of the bass if I had did 100 gigs with it as is claimed. OldGit
Oh I think it and he or she is genuine. I think it's one of the 62 RI's they did with the 50 year badge on the headstock rear around 96 as per the advert info. Certainly that sunburst, mid red tort plate, rosewood with dots fingerboard and headstock decals all look like 62 RI to me. I've seen a bunch of 62 RI P basses from that year with no rear strap peg. European export models of course. Anyway as I said she or he is up for an offer by ebay PM if anyone fancies going for it.

That's a store claiming to be one or Europe's top Fender shifters ...
