This.Italia Modulus Tipo 3.It plays well enough, but it sounded very weak, then one of the lipstick pickups died (it had 4) My wife bought me it for my first T.V appearance.I tried to get some assistance from Italia/JHS,and Trevor Wilkinson, but they all just passed me arround,so,i whacked in a cheap pickup and it sounds MUCH better.Just need to get a scratch plate made.

Luckily all the basses & double basses I own are very nice, but there is one lurking around that I rebuilt a while ago...

At first you see a white Precision with a bit of "mojo" to it...

Then you look at the headstock... AAARRRGGGH!!!

17 or 18 years ago when I did this it sounded great!

These days, sh*t.
All the electrics are shot. If I ever get time I'll redo them all.

I was going for that look like that bass player out of that morrisey video which i can't remember anything about but i thought the bass looked nice with the blue body and headstock but then i decided to go with black hardware to make it more modern. It looks okay in the photo but awful in real life.

Is it not salvageable? What's under the paint?

is this a question about EHs bass? Well if so it probably would be fine for me to do it again but to be honest it probably wouldn't end up much better.

No, it's a Dimarzio Model One.
