joegarcia
Interested in getting a low pass filter with expression pedal input. Anyone know if anyone other than Moog make them? Ideally want one not as pricey as the Moog.
JackLondon
I have the schematic for the original 1967 version on Moog Low Pass filter, maybe you can get someone to build it for you ? Looks like max of £50 worth of parts. If you want the schematic you will have to give me one of your Aggies Fair deal me thinks
joegarcia
Ooooh, sounds interesting, would love a looksee. Sure I can find someone to build it for me yea. The Aggies aren't going anywhere though I'm afraid.

dannybuoy
There's not many affordable alternatives to the Moog out there. Talkbass user Conical Johnson has designed one and is getting a batch made up - keep an eye on this thread and send him a PM if you want one made for you! xgsjx
A good option is to save up for the Moog & the expression pedal. It's £180 well spent. Cheaper if you go the 2nd hand route.
thisnameistaken
I think the cheapest is the EHX Q-Balls, £100 from GAK but then you'll still want an expression pedal.
joegarcia
Oooh, that Conical one sounds great! Have PM'd him on Talkbass. Will drop you a line if it doesn't work out Jack. Cheers guys!
BigRedX
If you're up for using a MIDI penal to control it I'd have a look at the Peavey Spectrum Filter (rumoured to be a clone of the Mini Moog circuit) which has envelope following on one input and MIDI control of all the parameters. IMO it's more versatile than the Moog and I just spotted one on eBay that failed to sell with a £135 BIN. Alternatively my current favourite the Linn Adrenalinn. Costs a bit more than the Moog but so much more versatile! Not sure if I'm up for rack stuff at the moment to be honest, sounds interesting though.
