geoffbassist
thanks man. using a Schertler DYN-B pickup, Evah Pirazzi E and A, Oliv D and G. its hard on gigs when your sound is dependant on a FOH guy, but this chap did a decent job.
yeh I know what u mean about sound men, but that's great. I Like the singer/tune too.
TPJ
It's all about the strings. I do love the evahs but think my old spirocore weichs may have been even better.
How so? I like the Honeys I use but they are getting dark now after 3 years. Are the Spiro's weichs really bright and twangy or do they mello? Spiros are supposed to be the best for pizz, which all I really do, but I don't want a bright, zinggy tone. However they are a bright string at first. Perhaps give the evahs a try. I've not tried the honeys so can't compare.
