spinynorman
I've had an enquiry about shipping a bass to Russia, but when I looked for a courier quote it said customs restrictions won't allow anything to be shipped worth more than £220. Anyone else come across this? Not sure I want to ship to Russia anyway, but the choice would be nice.
hagguy
sounds to dodgy to risk it tbh i'd leave it well alone, customs can be murder to deal with buying or selling and if they already told you 200 is what they let in i'd leave it at that save yourself the hassle. gerryk
I'm currently awaiting delivery of some IT kit from there, from a totally legit company based there, that sells worldwide...they have to sneak their shipments out; currently, my stuff is "awaiting an opportunity" sitting in some apartment in Moscow!!! Don't go there. Depending on location of receiver, possibly offer to ship to EU border state AFTER payment cleared - money just as slow to move, and they worry about getting it rest of way? The first query from there had 0 feedback, so I told him no. Now I think he's sending his friends in. The next shipping query from Mother Russia had 900+ feedback, all got from buying used CDs. WHUFC BASS
Avoid it like the plague. Getting stuff into Russia via mail is prone to be intercepted, opened up and stolen. I've had this on authority from numerous Russians I used to deal with when collecting militairia.
