hi all, newbie here. was wondering if I cud get some advice. my church has asked me to buy a new bass amp, & was wondering which one to go for. I'm currently using my Warwick pro fet III head & 2x10 cab. it's for a hall to fit about 300 people. we have a good PA system so want an amp that has good DI capabilities & little feedback (which is where my amp is useless!). I'm thinking a combo, 150-250 watt with max price £800.

1/ hartke hydrive 210c

2/ gallien krueger backline 210

3/ Warwick CCL N4

4/ Phil jones flightcase 150

any feedback is appreciated! particularly sound quality, stage volume & DI.

if you can try a Roland D-bass 210,i did & it blew me away - infact it's still doing it.
it is easliy the best sounding bass amp i have ever used,in fact i love it so much i sold my Ampeg SVT rig & just use this now.
it's got more than enough power for you application too,it is a very loud amp but oh so nice sounding.

4/ PHIL JONES. Definitely. I tried the small briefcase today. Man, that PJB stuff is AMAZING, and has great tone flexibility and portability. You can place them on chairs, tables or other amps so you can get an instant monitor within getting in the way breaking other stuff (or yourself!) They REALLY kick out that rich bass air from the back reflex too. However, I suppose you'll be needing to go into the PA for a better worship mix anyway, so that doesn't eally count, but the smaller the better in your scenario especially moving it all around and for storage (and helpers backs!) It can be used for a Acoustic Guitar as well I'm sure.
