Kiwi Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 http://www.myspace.com/bassmusicianmag This is going to be interesting. Perhaps a publisher has decided to have a go at competing with webforums? I hope the articles aren't as sycophantic as in Bass Player. Quote
Alun Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Certainly looks interesting. If they live up to their hype, it should be interesting. Quote
stewblack Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Not a widely diverse web publication though - the strap line is "Jazz / Funk / Fusion" which leaves my, and I suspect many other's, boats firmly unfloated. Quote
paul, the Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 It seems very well thought out. I expect they'll make a lot of money out of it. Is there one for guitar? Quote

Although I generally prefer BP over the UK Bass Guitar magazine, I definitely prefer the language and tone of the articles in the latter! Quote
Veils Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I am yet to find a bass mag I actually like. Most of them tend to have the odd interesting issue but are mainly filled with rubbish Quote
jase00 Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Be really good if the whole magazine was totally devoted to unknown players. I occasionally buy a copy of Bass Player, mainly for CD or gear reviews other than that I don't really bother, but fill it with all the unknown players around and I'd subscribe Quote
