Although not that cheap... I'd go for the maple board option, prob fit a gold or tort guard, covers, tugbar, vintage machines.

The next cheapy bass i'd like is the VMJ, it's got great reviews and it's about time they expanded their lefty repertoire.

I'm defo a Precision guy now, but i reckon if i didn't get on with it, there'd be plenty of takers!

I've got a Le Marquis violin bass in black, which looks great and for £90 new (when I bought mine) was an amazing buy!

I have one of these. Great bass. Got it on the 'bay for £200 inc postage basically brand new (still had cellophane on scratch plate!) :)

Many years ago I had a nameless Jazz copy. It was a delight to play, I remember the sound being a bit stuffy, probably because I was too tight to change the strings. Former bass player From Dexy's midnight runners had a go on it once , he laughed when he saw it, picked it up , played it , played it some more, couldn't put it down. I think I sold it for about £25 , I can't remember why. I'd love to have any cheap jazz copy again.
I'm still devoted to my Epi t bird, there are certain things that it does that I like.
Ibanez Jet king - tried one , loved it.

Do it.

Then sell it to me.

Would have to be either EB-0 or a green Dean Zone bass.

I quite fancy getting one of the Dean basses and firing a quarter pounder into it since I'm buying it purely for the looks
I guess now is as good a time as any to ask a question which will make me seem incredibly stupid :) What's with the thumb rest type thing below the G string?
I would have asked myself but didnt want to seem naive. Kudos to you for asking. I was thinking all sorts of strange ways to 'rest" the thumb on it. Makes sense now.

But does anyone use it as per instructions ?
