jsixties
This bass is a tone moster, purchased only a few months ago brand new as New Old Stock is in fact a expensive whim for me so even its sound and look is unreal, I really don't know what to do with 6 strings. This is known as the perfect GAS attack, you know how it works. Perfect setup with a very low action, the neck is very easy to play and truly slim. I will send it with a brand new deluxe hardcase made specifically for this bass (pictures coming) that fits the instrument like a glove, instead of the factory gig bag or the generic hardcase pictured. Included for free a very nice Ovangkol removable ramp made by my luthier, Warwick wax and all his adjusting tools. Those basses cost today about 2400 EUR in Europe if you find one. 4599 USD, 3679 street price in the States, take a look at the end of this site: http://www.basscentral.com/warwick/thumb_bolt_on.shtml ... so having in mind that is in as new condition I think [s]1680 [/s]1380 EUR or Sterling Pounds equivalent+ shipping to your home for a straight sale is a bargain for this stunning piece. Talking about trades adjusting cash: Any good fretted 4 strings could suit me well but my all times favourites are: Fender Jazz Bass Custom Shop or Vintage Reissues or a Ultra Vintage Sadowsky. Also Laklands or Stingrays could work. Also a good Telecaster CS, '52 RI or '62 RI or a Gibson ES-335 cherry could be of my interest. Anyway feel free to send me any proposal through PM please and we talk about it. Thanks! The ovangkol body wood is both beautiful and harmonically resonant. Its MEC active pickups and electronics give you the broadest range of tones and textures. 3-piece ovangkol neck with ebony fingerboard. Black hardware. jsixties
No love for this stunning bass? Price is excellent, it's in new condition and includes the deluxe hardcase, tools, wax and the Ovangkol ramp.
ThomBassmonkey
My offer of a tenner still stands. It's a shame that Warwicks have no resale value at the moment, this is a stunning bass and worth every penny of what you're asking, it's just not a seller's market at the moment. I'm actually planning on getting a Warwick 6er over the next few months, but I'm after a fretted so I can't help out or I'd definitely be interested. Sorry mate. jsixties
Yes, you're right: There is a strange trend with this brand in the second market just now although many of their basses (and this is one of the best of their catalogue) are absolutely incredible, anyway this is not a common Corvette or a Streamer so no hurry at all, just waiting for the right person. Sadly I can't lower this price furthermore, IMHO is a bargain so it's as new and the hardcase and the ramp are expensive as well.
