Had a quick go on the new mxr bass octaver.. complete with blue sparkle finish casing

must say my first impression was great (with my Shuker and markbass 2x10 combo).. very responsive with a bit of growl and dirt to play with too. Im going back in a few days with my ebs octabass to compare the too.. no doubt im going to end up withe two octavers though :)

anyone else tried/own one?

Not tried one of those, I decided to go with the Aguilar Octamizer. Just waiting on it to be delivered...We should do some sound clips and compare results :)

i'm thinking about this, i got rid ov my trusty old oc2 a few years ago and i'm a mixture of 'i do miss that sound' and 'wny did you sell it, it's because you weren't using it..'
Damn the gear devil on my shoulder.

I've got an MXR deluxe octave and it's great, best tracking octaver I've ever used. I used it with an MXR bass auto Q, MXR M80 bass DI for a little distortion for some synth bass lines on some live dance tracks I was doing recently.

I have one, it's better at tracking then the OC-2's I have owned and sounds way fatter then the EBS I had. I would like to try the Aguilar one at some point.

I'd be interested in hearing some clips of these pedals.

I have an OC 2 which i love to pieces, but sometimes it doesnt track brilliantly. Sometimes the ex7 does a better job...

Someone snap up that Octamizer in the FS section. Seriously. Mine just turned up today. It is AWESOME. I was GASing for both the MXR BOD and the Octamizer, but it's safe to say I don't even need to try the MXR. The Aguilar F'in rocks!!!
