oldmanrock
Hi all, hope this is in the right place. Did a search but didn't come up with anything. Apologies if I missed it. I'm using a preamp and a power amp, housed in a rack case, and I'm considering placing an EQ between them. However the EQ only has balanced XLR ins and outs, no jacks. I can use an XLR cable to connect the EQ to the power amp but I'll need an XLR to jack cable to connect the preamp to the EQ. So should I use a balanced or unbalanced one - or doesn't it matter? Cheers in advance.
Bankai
For this application it shouldn't matter. I think you should be able to use either.

As all this stuff is unbalanced and I really just need an XLR connector one end I think unbalanced will suffice.
