http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=81840 This bass is now for sale. I have email from Bernie stating that this one one of the first of 150 he built before moving production to Lowden. Serial no 003. made in Croydon 1987 The bass is in great condition, one small dink on back and some scratchy pots are the only things not making it perfect. Comes with case. The herringbone is also on the back as well as the front and headstock, the tuning pegs are wood as are the pickup covers!! I think, a member here told me this was the Harlequin range? I'm a Guitarist who has never heard or knows anything about these boutique basses but i shall try to answer any questions the best i can. I am selling it on behalf of the owner for £900 which i believe to be a fair price for an early "Bernie". I would prefer it picked up and the bass is in Essex.
