Thus, instead of the usual E-A-D-G arrangement, his bass is strung as B-E-A-D. This adds the five string depth to the songs, while allowing the quick fingering of a four-string neck.[/quote] found that on wiki, so not sure about it`s authenticity or accuracy hope that helps Quote

Conan Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I seem to recall that he used a Steinberger on the escape album... Quote
RhysP Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Ovation Magnum (with a bit of chorus). That's what he was using live around the time of the Escape album. Of course, in the studio it could have been anything........ (There are some lovely bass parts on Escape - it's one of my all-time favourite play-along albums). Quote

On this track it's probably either a Peavey T-40, a Steinberger XL or more likely an Ovation Magnum he is playing.... through a Chorus pedal with plenty of mids in his EQ... Quote
