bootros Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Hi All, I've thoroughly enjoyed reading through the posts on this site so thought I'd sign up. I'm 37, based in Stoke and have been playing bass since I was about 14 although not for about the last 6 years as I was on rhythm guitar duties before stopping playing altogether for a while. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things but have no idea what direction to take, covers bands or tribute bands leave me cold so it may just be lessons/self improvement/theory etc. for now as I can't see myself being dedicated enough to get back into or starting a band based on original material. Time is usually taken up with work and a young family, I'm sure lots on here are in the same boat. Current setup is a 1990 US Fender Precision Plus which I bought new and a Trace combo gathering dust in the garage, never been much of a gear-head but have loved my P Bass since the day I had it and never felt the need to get rid of it (although I did lose it for a year!). Looking forward to joining in and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. Cheers, Paul Quote
