dangee Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 (edited) Now definitely available Not 100% sure if I want to sell this but an increasingly bad back means I'm thinking of having something built (and maybe internally chambered). If anyone has anything high-end and lightweight (preferably a 4 string) that they might trade then give me a shout. The bass- you'll love it or hate it. This was a Sherwood Green US JO which has been recently 'done' by the Sims Custom Shop. The artwork is based on the work of the graffiti artist Crash (who has designed Strats for Clapton and has done other exclusive Fender stuff). The artwork is stunning (and wasn't cheap). There are also red LEDs along the side of the neck and the bass is fitted with a J-Retro pre. It is in immaculate condition and potentially available. niceguyhomer Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Absolutely love it - very Claptonesque, have a bump on me.
BB2000 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Check out Schack basses if you're looking for a top end lightweight bass. I sold one last year and wish I hadn't - you could play it all day with no shoulder or back stresses whatsoever. bass_ferret Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Very nice but very marmite I suspect. My swamp ash GB's are very light, and many others use swamp ash as well.
tayste_2000 Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) Would you be interested in a trade for this? It's about 8lbs Sorry didn't realise this was a US Lakland so I guess a straight trade would be way out of the question. But I'll leave the offer there in case you get really drunk before you read it. Edited May 28, 2007 by tayste_2000
dangee Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) I've had a few beers but will still give this one a miss, thanks! Edited May 28, 2007 by dangee
dangee Posted June 1, 2007 Author Posted June 1, 2007 Would be looking at about 1800. Rough used JO value 1400 (about 2200 new?) plus 800 Sims work and 200 J retro...this would take into account that the modifications don't directly add value to the extent that they cost, but letting it go for any less wouldn't be financially viable.
dangee Posted September 22, 2007 Author Posted September 22, 2007 I have decided that this can go. Let me know if you have any possible trades (either 4 strings or high end amps)...
