Hey thanks for that.
Just found from the link that the great Max Bennet did a few sessions for them.

I thought that Carol Kaye played on every session in the 60`s :) . She seems to think so!

I knew that Larry "the mole" Taylor from Canned Heat played on some tracks but didn`t realise he played on that many tracks. Intresting info WOT.

I know Larry Taylor's work with Tom Waits. Didn't realise he was with Canned Heat. Great player. Monkees had the of session guys on their records.

I thought it was all Carol Kaye and Joe Osbourne. interesting stuff. What's really interesting is how much they actually did themselves, especially Peter Tork.

I always think that the rock & roll hall of fame is pretty mickey mouse anyway so why not have them in. I'll sign it!

ps. Glad to see that you give Mike a bit of credit - pretty good solo on Valleri

Oh Yes! Thanks for the reminder.
I remember seeing him live at the time. Knew the name rang a bell. I have a Mayall track somewhere with Larry Taylor and another bass player doing a duel/duet ..

I think Mike was a musician acting rather than the other way around. I like his solo stuff too. EG Rio

Nice bass line.

I thought Micky and Davy were good singers for the Monkees stuff but hardly Hall of Fame material :)

I can't believe you posted that link rather than the video.

I saw that in the early days of MTV, on a night when I was ... erm ... using the music for flight (if you get my drift) and I damned near wet myself laughing.

Course, I was younger then.
