Dom in Dorset Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 The skeleton bass looks cool, some of their other stuff troubles me.... "A new addition to the Skylark range and based on the famous Ricky 4000 style bass. Gorgeous looks and sleek maple neck. Great tonal range and lovely weight. A very nice bass indeed." Sarah5string Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 There is some serious plaguerism going on round the rest of that site.. lol! Quote
Kiwi Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010
Are you referring to my beloved Sinsonido? A pox on you, sire! S.P.
Hah. Sir...I eat pox for breakfast! But seriously, I tried two that were in the Bass Centre a few years back and they lacked sustain because the body wasn't rigid enough. Yours may be completely different for all I know, though. Quote

But complaining about a Sinsonido's lack of sustain is like complaining about the fact that you can't fit your drumkit on the back of a bicycle. If you need something that you can fit on the back of a bicycle, then don't buy a drumkit. And if you need bags of sustain all the time, then don't buy a Sinsonido. I don't use mine in all situations, but it's definitely got a place in my life. S.P. Edited April 1, 2010 by Stylon Pilson Quote
Hot Tub Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Getting back to the Skylark, I like that. I like that a lot. Quote

derrenleepoole Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 There are variations of guitars like this dotted all over eBay. This is a Roberts model: In defence of the Sinsonido, it is a superb travel bass, but you'd never really use it for any other purpose in my experience..... The Roberts and Skylark look like they'd suffer serious neck dive due to the large headstocks and comparatively light bodies. Quote
hagguy Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 theres some really good looking stuff on that site, anyone actually tried any of the guitars or basses. the gear all looks the part but might be crap for all i know, going by the prices think the quality might be on the low side Quote
tom1946 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 It's unusual stuff, I tried a couple of products when I had my shop, you get what you pay for. Quote
