wateroftyne
Hi folks I've seen this - or another one like it - advertised in the US. I thought it was a one-off but maybe I'm wrong... Clarky
Yuk, looks like something a misguided person would make on one of those 'build your own bass' workshops
Rayman
I used something similar to paddle a canoe along the Menai Straights recently.
skankdelvar
Looks like something you'd buy from Woolies in 1971.
bh2
I've seen these before... they're pricey and look like something made by Gibson in the early eighties... yuk!
Dr.Dave
Looks like something you'd buy from Woolies in 1971.
Yep - 'Audition' guitars. Remember them well. Re. this bass - why on earth would anyone want a mastercraftsman to make them something that looks like it cost ten quid? It's bloody hideous , a waste of good parts and if it finds an owner at that price they deserve each other.
Duarte
I think it looks cool. But then again I like MusicMans. I think everyone should liven up and like more things!

Beedster
Based on the Deluxe Telecaster I think? I had a chat on TB with a guy who owned it when I was in my short-lived Telebass phase in late 2008, seems it works as a bass. I really quite like it, it's very much the love child of a Tele and a '70s Gibson, so I'm sure The Ox would have liked it also! Unless they made a lot of these, which seems unlikely, I can't quite see how it's listed as new? C

JordanRLS
Personally I don't see what's so bad about it? It actually looks quite nice as far as i'm concerned... It's not exactly the best looking bass I've ever seen but I have seen much worse!
Platypus
Reminds me of the Lakland Skyline Decade.
Yes, the Decade sprang to mind when I first say it too
thebeat
I like it and the Lakland Decade...matter of fact, next time i have a spare grand i'm gonna buy a Decade from Guitar Guitar....then sell it for a loss, obviously
EssentialTension
I like it ... but I also have a Decade which looks better, undoubtably sounds better, and was a third of the price. Edited April 1, 2010 by EssentialTension
alanbass1
I kinda like it myself.
MoonBassAlpha
Kind of off topic, but do (Fender) Custom Shop basses actually sound any different to the regular American made equivalent?
allihts
don't know how it'd look in another colour but that red one is foul! especially at that price!
Schnozzalee
Badass bridges look shockingly sh*te. Who wants BADASS engraved on their bass? I bet it sounds awesome as I like humbucker basses. The pickguard isn't the best, far too big -should take a more traditional tele shape. +1 for the Green. Matching headstock would be better also. lozbass
Not a fan of the red at all, the green looks better to me. Neither really appeal. Denis Galuska has done some pretty weird stuff for Fender over the past few years (check out the masterbuilders profiles). That said, I had a Jazz fretless built by him - it was an absolutely stunning bass - beautifully constructed with serious boutique attention to detail. Fabulous tone and playability too. My fretless technique (or lack thereof) was the only reason it was moved on
Florida_RRoe7_A
I just bought a Fender American Deluxe Precision 4 String Electric Bass (Montego Black - Rosewood Fingerboard) for $1299 US. This new bass fresh from the factory is a beauty. The fact is , the bass is a tool and not a stand alone instrument. I'm not a soloist and I don't need an electric bass that costs as much as a Rollix Watch. I have however put in a whole lot more money into my amps . There is one site that some know about if not check out this site and dream a little: http://www.bassemporium.com/ Edited April 5, 2010 by Florida_RRoe7_A
