Hi Guys!

I'm Stephen from Cut the Heroics, im the keeper of the BASS. Nottingham based catchy pop-punk sort of stuff, nothing like anything out today, more 90's influenced. We've been together about a year as we are now. We've done a few small gigs, and are working on the lead singer takinmgh up rythm guitar.

would appreciate spreading the word as our glastonbudget ticket sales(ticket brought through our page) decides which stage and when we play.

I play in a band called Metaltech, a Rock Techno crossover, though I tend to be slightly on the funky side of bass playing. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, and we've been doing pretty well at festivals and getting alot of support slots for industrial bands.

My main bass band is with Kitty Richardson.

Lazy people keep comparing her to Kate Bush, because she's a woman playing piano and singing I suppose. She's more prog-pop really. She's a fantastic singer and songwriter, especially for one so young, and her violin scores are often a bit mental. I think she's a massive talent. She has a beautiful, really expressive voice, and her lyrics are usually pretty damn dark but wrapped in pretty paper.

Here's the EP we released a few months ago, you can listen to it all here http://kitrichardson.bandcamp.com/

I was recently sent this slightly dodgy clip of my band Back Before Breakfast, three songwriters, acoustic, folk influences. we formed to do a one of gig a few years back and kept going, we've had a few line up changes since then , it's settled down to a group of friends who enjoy what we do. Three of us take lead vocals in turn.
For some reason the guy playing acoustic guitar decided to dress up as Stevie Wonder's demented half brother (it was Glastonbury)
We recently recorded a demo and I'll post a link to myspace once the new songs are on there.

After a few years off, even sold all my gear. I got back into a band at the end of last years, replaced the previous bass player as he wasnt commited to the band, or even very good (not that Im that good ;-) )
Anyway its a 4 piece, female lead vocals and guitar, bass and drums. Having a blast playing covers Ive never played in a band before. The band stick to playing stuff post 1990 so not a lot of what other covers band are doing.

We are a country/rockabilly/blues type outfit. The gigs we've played have been very successful so far and we have our debut EP out in May time. You can listen to our sounds via the facebook page or on my soundcloud (look in my sig). If you like what we do, please 'like' us. We'd really appreciate the support!

Any feed back would be very welcomed!

i've recently joined a punk/indie band The FM as bassist. Good energy, great songwriter. This is one of their more commercial efforts from last year, great vid though.

My name is Matt and I'm a Bassaholic.

Started playing Bass when I was 17, now 32.

Played in a fast punk/Hardcore band called Fig. 4.0 from 1999 to 2004, some free stuff on our old label's site here.

Played in a fairly tech band called eiger from 2001 to 2007, bit of info here, if anyone is interested I can upload our discography.

Currently play in a band called himself and have since end of 2010, quiet bits, loud bits, 4 part harmonies. Can grab our EP from himself.bandcamp.com for nowt. I am not on the himself EP though but we are recording again in a couple of months.

Enjoy!

Low frequency fracas for King Witch.

We're an Edinburgh based metal band ranging from old school metal and doom. Think Sabbath, Candlemass with high on fire all mixed in with powerful female vocals. Just back from playing Swedenrock. Going to record our first album next month

I wonder if any of these bands are still active? It's four years since the last post.

When I posted about my band Dick Venom & The Terrortones, we were less than a year old, although we were already on our second guitarist. At that point we were in the middle of recording our debut single and producing the video to go with it. We were also building a reputation for putting on a great live show and as a result we were starting to get some decent gigs all over the country.

5 years, 6 guitarists and 3 drummers later, we've released 2 singles, a 5-track EP (on cassette) and a full-length LP on Vinyl, CD and download. Here's a track and video from it:

I've got 2 bands...
Firstly, Dredd and The Badass Weeds. We started in Leeds back in about 1983, and had as members such luminaries as Jay Rayner on keyboards (!), Chris Haskett (later of Rollins Band), and Jez (still with the Utah Saints). We've still got the original core - our drummer used to be with the Utahs, Andy was the singer in the New Fast Automatic Daffs, one of our guitarists was in indie merchaants, the Snapdragons, and the other is still in German goth favourites, the Cassandra Complex.
We do, as we always have despite a 20-odd year hiatus, funk, rock with lots of daft clothing. Here's a hint:

My other band are The Bucknell Noise Kollektiv, which is sort of jazz, though our idea of doing a standard is Herbie's "Chameleon" with heavy trombone becoming "P-Funk" via "Happy Birthday" and "Mission Impossible"...
