Damo200 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 (edited) [attachment=46330:Bassstuff_005.jpg][attachment=46331:Bassstuff_006.jpg][attachment=46332:Bassstuff_ 007.jpg] I have used this bow only four times (once with the RPO) and although its great with a lovely balance and reponse, I simply now have too many. It is called Claude Marchard and sold exclusively by Thomas Martin (luthier and ex LSO bass principal). A lovely bit of pernambuco with silver mountings, this bow is modelled on the old H.R. Pfretchners. Tom Martin is currently selling these new for £1000, but I'll take £700 for mine. I'm based in SE London but would be happy to post (to the UK only). How more info, see the link below. Damo200 Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 Dudes in the Philharmonia are also playing these bad boys.
Owen Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Nothing is quite as confusing as a nice bow. The thought process is as follows - "It is a stick with hair on it. It seems very expensive. Why is everything 400% easier with it?"
