Delberthot
Bonsoir Fantastic as my new / old Trace 2x15" is, it does reek of Sir Walter Raleigh's finest tobaccy, presumably from years of gigs in smoky pubs and possibly a smoky owner to boot. I've tried Febreze on it but since its really for fabrics its done absolutely hee haw to remove the smell and its giving me the dry boak Any suggestions on how to remove the smell - soapy water, recover the cab? RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
what about incense oils(don't light them tho') Jasmine or something. Why is salica gel found in guitar cases? Flash wipes perhaps, or pledge? At least it only smells of tobacco. If it was onions or garlic,I'd be heaving

Bloodaxe
Carpet or vinyl? If it's Carpet, then... Carpet Shampoo? If it's vinyl, here's a song that might help:

Bloodaxe
Some kind of foamy bathroom cleaner then? Thought: ... Is it Ported? If so it may be that the internal wadding has become "tainted" - only cure for that would be to strip it out, bin it & replace it. Pete. Delberthot
I have some foam cleaner that I am going to try first. It has 4 front ports but I'm not entirely sure that Trace lined the inside of their cabs. If it is then I'll probably pick a quiet time for the band, take the old wadding out and recover it as well
Dodge
Put in in a sealed bin bag with a bowl of vinegar. Leave it for a couple of days and the smoke smell will go, although it'll smell of vinegar a bit - leave it unsealed (maybe outside on a dry day) for a few hours and it'll be fine. I did this to a Cornell guitar amp and it worked a treat.
