thisnameistaken Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I managed 2:30 this time, which is a PB for me and YouTube videos of bass solos. But only because I couldn't quite believe that what I was watching was real. I've already filed him under talented people I'm jealous of. Quote
Bassassin Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I like the sparkly bass. Unsure about all the pockatapockataboinkityboinkitypockatapockataboinkityboinkity stuff though. Heard a lot of that since 1983. Jon. Quote
Kiwi Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 they're not that cheesy Japanese band who have achieved Level 41.63 are they? Quote
derrenleepoole Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Hasn't Les Claypool been doing stuff like this since forever? Quote
With half the talent, yes! This guy is a great player. I like the video on youtube where he shows you some of his bass collection. I'm sure it includes Warwick, Kubicki, Spector etc etc...very good taste! Quote
Rich Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Uh oh. I hope you're wearing your flameproof underpants. Quote
I don't think they'll be necessary! I've not seen half the fanboy-ism for Les now that there was 10 or even 5 years ago! He is a talented bassist and very creative aswell, but the Casiopea players are fusion heavyweights, a field I just don't think Les has the talent to play in! Quote
thisnameistaken Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Claypool would smoke those cheesy fusion chumps any day of the week and look cool doing it. Quote
blamelouis Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 That video is awful as are the band, plastic wannabees -_- Quote
theosd Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 This guy shows about as much reckless abandon as our man here! Bizarre set-up. Quote
