Happy to accept a part trade against a Stingray (natural) or a Precision (sunburst, natural or white)...or both! I've just picked up this quality Roscoe LG3005 from bobpalt. It was another one of my failed attempts to convert to a 5'er. It's as new, mint and a beauty, just one string too many. The bass was bought new about a year ago from Bassdirect and cost in excess of £2500 (list price was over 3k). It was a cancelled custom order and has the following features: ROSCOE LG 3005 - Five string •Ash Body •Flamed Maple Top •Maple/Purpleheart/Maple neck •Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard •35" Scale - 24 fret •Bartolini 3-band pre amp •Bartolini/Roscoe Pickups •Black hipshot ultralight hardware •Transluscent black back •Gold pinstripe •High gloss finish •Diamondwood nut •19mm spacing at the bridge •Case and Roscoe paperwork Trade-wise I'm after something with 4 strings, Fender-esque and light (either vintage or a newer boutique clone) Dan Edited April 24, 2010 by dangee
Pete Academy Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Seriously folks, these basses are unbelievable. And no, I'm not on commission.

Kiwi Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I've never had the opportunity to play one, but I've heard good things.
Doddy Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I wish people would stop selling Roscoe's. I'm tempted every time I see one....They really are beautiful instruments. I love spalted fingerboards.
leftybassman392 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I have a lefty LG3000 fretless and can endorse the other comments about the quality of these instruments - just beautiful!
KERMITNT Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 hi mate awsome bass can i ask the weigh and the nut width and the preamp features? cheers the frog
dangee Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 (edited) Hi... The weight is 9lbs, nut width is 1.75 inches. This is the preamp info from Keith: "Bartolini NTMB- The knob closest to the neck is the master volume, back and closest to the pickup is the blend control. Directly down from the blend control is the midrange cut/boost control, which is push/pull allowing access to two different midrange frequencies. The stacked knob to th rear includes the treble cut/boost (top knob) and the bass cut/boost (bottom ring) controls". Edited April 14, 2010 by dangee
