Noisyjon
Hello, What, In your opinion, would be the going rate for: 1. A year 2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard bass. Honeyburst finish, TB Plus pickups, 3 way switch, Vol & Tone for each pickup. Maple topped mahogany body with binding & 34" Mahogany neck with a 20 fret Ebony fretboard, Slim taper neck shape. Complete with Gibson hardcase. VGC with some buckle rash on the back but that's all, no other marks or dings. The metal jack plate is a little tarnished from age but it is fully working and OK. Original owner and have original receipt. 2. A 1995 USA Fender P bass. Black, Seymour Duncan ¼ lb P and J pups. Volume/Volume controls. Rosewood neck. Complete with Fender hardcase. Bass in Good Condition, used but not abused. Pickup work and set up done by the Bass Gallery in London (have receipt). I am the 2nd owner, but not sure. Any advice mucho appreciated, Happy Monday! Beedster
£500-550 for the Fender. If it only has V/V controls as you state, that's likely gonna put people off. I always roll the treble off a little, especially with rounds and especially on the P-PUP. It would only cost a few quid to convert to the existing controls to 2 x stacked V/T which would make the bass a far more sellable instrument IMO Chris
