jimbobothy Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) Hi folks, I recently bought a couple of basses through this very forum, a natural TRB 1005 lined fretless and a translucent red TRB 1005 fretted. I guess my plan was to have two basses that were the same so switching between the two would be very natural! However even though the basses are both very comfortable and nice to play they are just not me, If you know what I mean. I'm now asking for £315 for each of them (they both now come with nearly new Gator hardcases (themselves £65 each)). I'd rather not post but if you wanted to arrange a courier at your own expense I would pack them up for you so they could be collected, Photos below: Edited May 3, 2010 by jimbobothy
Mike Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I'd be interested in the fretted, sure - what scale length is it?

I guess my plan was to have two basses that were the same so switching between the two would be very natural! However even though the basses are both very comfortable and nice to play they are just not me, If you know what I mean. Just wondering if anyone is interested in buying (which I would prefer) or trading? I'm asking for £325 for each of them (they both now come with nearly new Gator hardcases (themselves £65 each)). I'd rather not post but if you wanted to arrange a courier I would pack them up for you so they could be collected. Or, Do you have a jazz bass of any description you'd like to trade. I'd consider a bass + cash your way if you have a rather fine example (either a 4 or 5 string, don't really mind to be honest!) If there is any interest I'll get some photos on as I don't have access to a camera right now!! James.
Hi, can you send it to Portugal? Cheers
JakeBrownBass Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 oh man if that fretless had been here on payday i'd be knocking on your door. If its still here at the end of the month i will be back with money
kets Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Sorry to see you're selling the fretless so soon Jim. Folks, I was the previous owner of the fretless and can confirm that it's a lovely bass, especially at this price with a gator case! Kets
jimbobothy Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 Late morning bump (if they don't go soon I'll have to whack them on the bay!)

lowrider Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 hi jimbobothy - is the natural fretless still for sale?
MythSte Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I had a 1006 fretted at one point. I can confidently say this range really punches above its weight!
jimbobothy Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 These have both now gone to a good home, sorry to anyone else who was interested. James.
