EHX pedal misbehaviour wierdness

Hi.

I have an EHX Bass Balls pedal (Nano version). It's a bit of a silly effect, but I like it. Occasionally.

However, mine has recently taken to bahving oddly. When the effect is engaged, if I tap on the pedal casing, the tapping sound is amplified very distinctly through my rig. Odd, no? I mean, it basically seems to be behaving like a microphone.

What's going on?

The pedal is basically working ok otherwise, as long as I use battery power. It now wont work on mains tho - the bypass works, but when I switch on the effect the sound goes dead.

Would welcome your advice....

Cheers.

Sorry - this is in the wrong thread isn't it? Probably should be in Misc Equipment and Accessories. Mods move me please? Thanks.
