hi everyone,

Im new to bass, was playing a little bit of guitar at home, till a friend asked me to be bassist in a band, always up for a challenge i said yes, now been playing for a month now, and all going ok so far, got a bass now looking for a nice loud rig as we play heavy metal, need one soon as got a gig in 6 weeks, and still got lots to learn, thought i'd join this site as thought it could be useful and hope to meet some nice people.

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
I would suggest you have a look at the "for sale" section here......way more bang for your buck than buying new, and I can't remember hearing any horror stories about getting ripped off.

you have been playing for 1 month and you have a gig in 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! somewhat of a prodigy are you?

For rigs I would recommend thornybank, plenty of gear with lots of knowledge to back it up. get hold of him matey
