yorks5stringer Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 (edited) Yes, our old drummer got ill so we kept the drum stool "open " for 6 months until he was recovered. Once better, he then promptly went and re-joined his old band.... ( hence the photo on the left, we use deps now) Edited April 16, 2010 by yorks5stringer Quote
karlfer Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Sadly I was the "letting down" one in the band I left 6 weeks ago. My first band after a 5 year hiatus, only with them 3 months. I honoured all booked gigs, did the studio ep (and paid my quarter) and promised to give my notes and time to my replacement. I left because I was offered a 6 month paying dep job, 18 gigs (original bassist taking paternity leave???). It's also playing covers material that I adore. Sometimes, you just have to be an honest s**t. Quote

Eight Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010
We do our utmost to get our drummer involved and keep his attention at every rehearsal. We've got colouring-in books, dot-to-dots, felt-tip pens and crayons, building blocks, Disney videos...
Hahahahahahaha. I love that. Quote
