ash_sak
Anyone ever put an electric 6-string through an EBS Microbass? Does it work? (i'm wondering what pre-amp to buy, and the EBS looks good as it has drive which i want but i also want to put my 6-string through it. anyone? Dood
I am assuming you mean electric 6 string guitar, as opposed to electric 6 string bass! he he! I guess it depends on what kind of sound you want from your guitar? I think the EBS might do a good crunch sound - which will be interesting as the drive section and EQ is voiced for bass, not guitar - but I won't expect any 'tear your face off' distortion or soaring lead tones. JakeBrownBass
I've just tried recording some guitar using mine and to be honest it sounds pretty horrible. I've only got a crappy electro acoustic to hand atm with dead strings so thats not gonna help so i'll go grab a proper guitar and post some recordings up of everything flat. Kiwi
Yep I've done it. It sounded OK but more like a cheap late 70's amplifier. A bit woolly. If you have a decent spec laptop then get Native Instruments Guitar Kontrol. You'll have the best of both worlds then.
JakeBrownBass
Here we go, First bit is chanel A&B, second is just channel B and the last is channel A. Its a Gibson SG with everything flat, and on the middle toggle position. The crap playing is me

I'm not amazing at guitar by any means so i was just gonna use it for some simple chords. [just heard the 2nd half] yep it really doesn't pick up the treble that well. Ah well, i'll try it out when mine arrives and i have a guitar to hand. Thanks for the recording, very helpful.
