Feelgood
Not sure if these have been screened before but thought I'd mention it as have just turned over to find it's on now (and repeated later). There's a profile of Nick Drake and also the Barbican gig from Jan 2010 - various current muso-types and their interpretations ( ) but featuring Danny Thompson! If you're a fan of Nick Drake/Danny Thompson I'm sure it'll be worth a look. Actually, if you've never heard of either it's probably worth a look. If you not sure who ... oh well you get the idea! 4-string-thing
Oh Yeah.....Danny is the man!!!! I'm sure you all knew that anyway..... Its followed by "A skin too few" the Nick Drake documentary, also worth another look.
OldGit
+1 Nice gentle versions. All abit referential but some good stuff. Danny's been the highlight so far.. The Guitarist has an interesting collection. So far the only one I've recognised is a Shergold 12 string ...
Marvin
Forgot it was on, have to catch it in full on iPlayer.
flyfisher
Danny Thompson was on the radio, not so long ago, talking about Nick Drake and the forthcoming Barbican concerts. Might have been the Stuart Maconie show, I can't remember. Some wonderful stories from Danny!

Phaedrus
Just watching this now (recorded it on BBC HD). Danny Thompson's playing on Pink Moon is spectacular. Love ND's songs. Mark

beardybass
I would have loved to have seen that! Not a huge Nick Drake fan, but I'm all about Danny Thompson! One of the downsides of being outside of the U.K. is I can't watch iPlayer, have to hope they repeat it sometime in the future......
Conan
Just out of interest, the young singer with a passing resemblance to Danny - and also called Thompson - is he Danny's son by any chance? It was weird hearing Green Gartside. His appearance may be middle-aged pirate, but his voice was just the same as it was in the 1980s!! Cheers. Still, he bears an uncanny resemblance to DT!! Can't say I care too much for his voice though - especially singing in harmony...
