I have Peter Wyngarde's solo album. It's................interesting. Quote

TomKent Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 When I first started playing bass I associated slap bass with Flea, after some actual time learning the instrument and researching players I soon realised 'King' is the 'King' of slap and always will be. Far FAR superior lines for me, also a much nicer tone. But that's me though. Quote
Malc62 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 For technique, I would say that MK wins hands down, but for tone and phrasing and generally sounding like a bass player, then Flea gets my vote. Quote
