Wow..

Can't help much, but, it's probably the first time I understood MB1's post (at least, I think, that I do.. It's about the amplifier, isn't it? :))..

No offense intended, though

I'll get my coat anyway..

As it happens  I have number one of the handmade 'Limited Edition' Little Bastards  & a handmade singe 12" cab to go with.

It's bloody marvellous!

I wonder what difference the handmade UK one will have compared to a production model.

I don't see it being that loud, I think it's a reaction to a few responses after orange announced the BT.

Guess it will be seen as a recording amp getting that valve grind at reasonable volumes

This is it! I have one too...the prototype from Winter NAMM which is exactly like the hand-built LE. And, as was mentioned, it sounds fantastic......full of valve goodness and British grind that even a Yank like myself can appreciate.

The Bastard does have a DI so you can gig it. By itself, it would be fine for a small gig as long as you are not fighting a very loud and self-centered guitar player. If you want loud and like the concept of this head, I'd suggest checking-out the 427....all valve and 400 watts!!

Most of the pictures I have seen don't do the amp justice....it really is a very nice looking amp, Also, remember that one of the most iconic bass amps of all time, the Ampeg B-15 was only 30 watts (and had no DI, you have to mic it to use it live).

You'd be surprised I have a 17w amp from the 50's and it sounds massive I've played it through my Matamp 4x10 and I could easily gig with it in a pub/covers setting, would be even funnier with my 8x10 :) since it's the size and shape of a toaster.

It gets pretty freakin hot, it's got 6 tubes inside it including preamps valves, all metal casing, it's a great amp and an average grill :)
